Yep, Matthews would have made it 8-4.

Under/over 10 goals?

This is one of those can't-miss games of the season, I think.

This was payback for Domi's hit on Neidermeyer. Let it go and we can all be friends!

Holy frank.

To be honest, I hadn't seen that in years - just wrote about it for laughs. Watching it again is scary.

It's a franking crime that resulted in a 3 game suspension - Jannsen should have been booted out of the league for (at least) the rest of the year.

As per the Domi hit - my brother was at the game. To this day, my brother (who was sitting in the nosebleeds) says he was truly frightened by Scott Stevens' reaction (he was already in the penalty box). My brother says that Stevens was pacing back and forth like a lion in a cage - and my brother was sure that once he was let out of the box, he was going to literally kill someone.

I was at the Kaberle game. It was so loud when he hit the boards, I don’t think I’ve ever heard an arena go that quiet as when he was down on the ice.

In Chico's defence, it wasn't as late as Charles Martin's hit on Jim McMahon:

Sosh is in for Matthews. Gotta factor in the goals lost by him getting back out of the line up.

On the Domi hit the play by play guys reports it as "There's a Devil's player down, I don't know who... who fell all by himself."

Both players are just honestly sickening and indefensible. Garbage like this and I am reminded of Crosby repeatedly banging Subban's head into the ice in last years playoff as the most recent example, just have no place in the game. Old time hockey is fine but this is just unacceptable.

The sad thing about the Domi hit was he had just played his best game as a professional - the CBC had already selected him as the first star of the game.

And then he decided to do something incredibly stupid, selfish, douchebaggy, dangerous and unneccessary.

It may have cost the Leafs the series. We won that game, but wow, it really felt (at least to me) like a momentum killer.

I never really liked the guy, so I wish I could tell you this hurt his reputation.

Sadly, it didn’t.

Scott Stevens is a gem and there will never be another. He is The Captain. He is what an NHL defender should be. NHL got so weak its sad.
